• My first extensive self care treatment; Laser Hair Removal.

Photography:  The Wee Glass Lens I have been thinking of getting this done for years. Laser hair removal  would mean never ever having to shave again….or is it?   What is laser hair removal? It is termed a cosmetic procedure that uses a powerful laser or ‘intense pulsed light’ (IPL) to remove unwanted hair.  The heat from this light destroys hair follicles in the skin., which disrupts hair growth.  It is most effective on women with pale skin and dark hair.  The above statements I got from NHS website. If you want to know more check it out here.  I went to Signature Clinic on West Regent Street for it.…

  • Why I love Sex and the City inspired Cocktails and catch ups…

Ever since I watched Sex and the City growing up I have always envisioned myself with 3 friends having a good fruity cocktail and catching up on each others news. The double C’s – cocktail and catch ups or coffees and catch ups. Was anyone else obsessed with Sex and the City? Or SNTC? I used to have to watch SNTC in secret. Like a hidden taboo. I remember it being on late on a Friday night. I used to have to initially watch it in secret because my mum didn’t want me watching ‘inappropriate’ content.  Which tbh SNTC isn’t inappropriate at all. Not by todays standards. Maybe back that…

  • Random Acts of Kindness…

I’ve seen these across my facebook feed. Whilst they are amazing it just seems so surreal. That can’t actually happen to me, can it? Well heres my story of a random act of kindness What happened? This weekend I am in Aberdeen visiting my mum, with Jack.  As usual I am running behind completing/starting this weeks blog post so I decide I’ll bring my laptop with me to work on it during the train ride to Aberdeen (it’s several hours so I’d planned on getting a first draft done during the journey. Seems reasonable right?). Apparently that wasn’t meant to be the case. On Fridays my work shift is 8am…

  • Clubbing without Make up on…

Now… I’ve done this a few times.. clubbing without make up on and it feels … so damn liberating.  I’ve done this a few times.  But after last nights adventures with JS to Berkleys, Delmonicas and Polo. (Documented some of it on my instagram stories – check  it out if you can. I apologise for my horrible singing in advance.) I realised I’ve gathered enough data to accurately report back on how it feels like. That sounds so clinical… because in a way it is.  I was worried that it would only feel a certain way once or twice – or because I felt one way when I was single…

  • The blood test results are in….

I’ve been back to work for a couple of days now… and after being off for over 2 weeks I am trying to look into the consequences of the blood test results. I had been off with a viral infection.  Although my doctor initially wasn’t sure why I was so run down and achy. She initially thought it could have been glandular fever.  She hadn’t seen me since I went in to get my consultation for my anti-baby prescription several weeks previously.  This is my way of saying am going on the pill so I don’t have any unfortunate baby surprises being in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend.  Anyways…

  • Is getting a sick line at work a silent taboo?

That is something that is up for debate … is getting a sick line off work is deemed as a negative or a silent taboo?  What does taboo even mean? It is a word that everyone knows – as in all honesty I am not sure if I even need to explain the meaning of taboo.  We all know what taboo means don’t we? Forbidden, dark… unsavoury. Those are the few words that first pop into my mind when I think of ‘taboo’ … or it could be because I have a very dirty mind and whenever I think of taboo I just go to that side of…

  • My first collaboration with friends…

As in with my tempo tea girls – my first collaboration and first gifted products… and it was with my friends! 🙂   When JL asked me to help with a fitness shoot for Tempo Tea I was very excited! I have been on a long and somewhat rollercoaster ride of my fitness journey and my friends asking to help them out was a lovely and much welcomed surprise. They asked me about a month in advance – which was amazing because it gave me a chance to get into prime fitness shape – for me.  I had slowly been letting myself slide cause I’ve been procrastinating. I haven’t been…

  • My One Year Blog Anniversary!

Happy Birthday to Style Irregular, Happy Birthday to SI, Happy birthday to Meeeeee! Celebrating my one year blog anniversary by changing up my site. what do you think?   I’ve been debating changing the layout for a while but I wasn’t sure if I should or if it was the right thing to do … you know the whole if it ain’t broke don’t fix it type of mentality. But it’s been a whole year… a whole 365 days since I started this journey. I figure that since I’ve grown and changed so much as a person and as a blogger that it makes sense to change the layout of…

  • The 2018 Review: Part 2

And the review continues on… this 2018 Review: Part 2 covers my posts from May to August!    May  The type of love I don’t want…   This post I talk about my first love, HM, and how I was so attached to him. In fact I generalise that nearly everyone feels that way about their first love, because you’ve never been in love before. You have nothing to compare it too and therefore you just fall.  Another fact I bring up is that I love to listen to sad songs when I am writing! Ahaha I have no clue why I’ve always been a person that listens to sad…

  • How a blog post cost me a job…

GET THE LOOK Earrings: H&M, old. Alternative options here, here and here. Jumper: Primark, can’t find it. Alternative here. T-shirt: Primark Trousers: Zara, old. Alternative here, Trainers: Marks & Spencer, sold out. Alternative here. Photographer: Connull Drummond That is correct… a blog post I wrote cost me a job. And it wasn’t for the reasons I thought it would be…   Ever since I’ve graduated all I wanted was a job in marketing, working for a company I believe in and get along with the my colleagues. That has been my dream when I started and finished my Postgraduate in International Fashion Marketing.  And still is now.  But, like most…
