• The blood test results are in….

I’ve been back to work for a couple of days now… and after being off for over 2 weeks I am trying to look into the consequences of the blood test results. I had been off with a viral infection.  Although my doctor initially wasn’t sure why I was so run down and achy. She initially thought it could have been glandular fever.  She hadn’t seen me since I went in to get my consultation for my anti-baby prescription several weeks previously.  This is my way of saying am going on the pill so I don’t have any unfortunate baby surprises being in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend.  Anyways…

  • “Loneliness is part of your biology…”

This is quoted from Kurzgesagt  – In a Nutshell. An educational youtube channel that Jack introduced me to. Loneliness is part of your biology – this is linked to our basic instinct to go into groups to survive. But does it have to be? What is Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell all about and how did I find out about it? At first glance it looked like a fun, school friendly educational youtube channel explaining complex issues/thoughts/ideas in a simple and aesthetically pleasing manner. Which, as you can see from the screen shoot of their about page below, it is! (Love it when your first impression on something…

  • How I Style Sale Steals: The LFW Inspiration…

Aaaand its back! My triple S. And with LFW (London Fashion Week) happening I thought I would try and find bargains inspired by Fashion Weeks street style ideas. I picked out three LFW Inspiration outfits… let me know what you think.  The Denim Co Ord The first aspect that caught my eye was the white ankle boots combo with the denim co ord.  I have a couple of denim skirts and cropped jacket combos. And I never thought about combing them with the white ankle boots trend… not sure why. My mind just didn’t go there. So when I spotted this it was like an ‘a ha!’ moment. Which I…

  • Is getting a sick line at work a silent taboo?

That is something that is up for debate … is getting a sick line off work is deemed as a negative or a silent taboo?  What does taboo even mean? It is a word that everyone knows – as in all honesty I am not sure if I even need to explain the meaning of taboo.  We all know what taboo means don’t we? Forbidden, dark… unsavoury. Those are the few words that first pop into my mind when I think of ‘taboo’ … or it could be because I have a very dirty mind and whenever I think of taboo I just go to that side of…

  • My first collaboration with friends…

As in with my tempo tea girls – my first collaboration and first gifted products… and it was with my friends! 🙂   When JL asked me to help with a fitness shoot for Tempo Tea I was very excited! I have been on a long and somewhat rollercoaster ride of my fitness journey and my friends asking to help them out was a lovely and much welcomed surprise. They asked me about a month in advance – which was amazing because it gave me a chance to get into prime fitness shape – for me.  I had slowly been letting myself slide cause I’ve been procrastinating. I haven’t been…

  • Is adulting overrated…?

Adulting IS overrated… but necessary. Life is hard and there is shit you have to do even if you don’t like it.  What is adulting? I’ve seen this word used quite a lot.  In fact I use it on a daily basis. I’ve been having to do a lot of adulting recently – acquiring a new full time job, that requires the limited spare time I have left to do the ‘adulting’ menial tasks before leisure time. Which in turn means it floats across my brain a hell of a lot.  The dictionary defines ‘adulting’ as;  “the practice of behaving in a way characteristic of a responsible adult, especially the…

  • How I Style Sale Steals: Mix and Matching…

I love a good bargain… who doesn’t? The reason why I am starting my Style Sale Steals: Mix and Match is because I find that by the time I go around to posting my looks they are either sold out or have disappeared from the internet. So here we go – How I Style Sale Steals: Mix and Matching… the new sale buys with what I already have in my wardrobe.    I was wondering around the shops the other day – the nearest one that has decent shops to me is Glasgow Fort (ever been there?). I noticed that most of the shops had crappy one or two rail…

  • My One Year Blog Anniversary!

Happy Birthday to Style Irregular, Happy Birthday to SI, Happy birthday to Meeeeee! Celebrating my one year blog anniversary by changing up my site. what do you think?   I’ve been debating changing the layout for a while but I wasn’t sure if I should or if it was the right thing to do … you know the whole if it ain’t broke don’t fix it type of mentality. But it’s been a whole year… a whole 365 days since I started this journey. I figure that since I’ve grown and changed so much as a person and as a blogger that it makes sense to change the layout of…

  • The 2018 Review: Part 3 (The Last one!)

September   Celibacy Dating, is it worth it?   It feels so weird re-reading this as I was chatting about celibacy dating then and now I am currently chilling in my room with my boyfriend… and we definitely don’t have a that sort of dynamic! Ahaha. It feels weird because I’m in such a different place now. This post talks about how I tend to put the others feelings before my own – especially sexually. I would usually feel quite frustrated and annoyed at myself. I felt my inhibitions were stopping me from utilising sex to its maximum capacity. I am too busy being in my own head and worrying…

  • The 2018 Review: Part 2

And the review continues on… this 2018 Review: Part 2 covers my posts from May to August!    May  The type of love I don’t want…   This post I talk about my first love, HM, and how I was so attached to him. In fact I generalise that nearly everyone feels that way about their first love, because you’ve never been in love before. You have nothing to compare it too and therefore you just fall.  Another fact I bring up is that I love to listen to sad songs when I am writing! Ahaha I have no clue why I’ve always been a person that listens to sad…
